What a beautiful story. Congratulations on your
miracle baby, Logan Jay. He's just such a
handsome baby boy; who was born the same day as
my daughter.
Can't wait to watch him grow.
Good Luck on everything.

I read your homepage and I'm sure like a
thousand other moms I had tears in my eyes. He
is truly a cutie pie!I work with children with
disabilities and I know how very scary it is
when they go into seizures! It breaks my heart
more than anything to watch them go through
that. I love my job and I have to say it's one
of the most rewarding jobs out there. Sounds
like your little guy is doing so well and that
you have the faith and strength to make the best
of his life here on Earth however long God
decides that to be. God does not give us
anything we can't handle! You and your family
will be in my prayers. God bless you all today
and always!

Miracle
I just wanted to thank everyone for there
prayers. As "JUST" an uncle I would like to say
this little fighter has changed myself a lot. I
too had a child with disabilities when I was 18
but nothing like this. They said mine was a
miracle but this little man has already overcame
so many obstacles. I have 3 children who love
Logan very much. My boy who is 5 loves to feed
and babysit Logie. I would also like to say
Brooke I know you are busy with him and now
working so I will tell everyone who reads this
some other miraculous things Logan has done the
past couple of weeks. He has begun to lift his
head which he was not supposed to do and now
that he is teething, he is holding his teething
cookies and eating them himself and to top it
off even though he is supposed to be blind and
deaf he looks toward the light when you turn it
on and turns his head towards noises. Amazing.
Logan we love you very much keep fighting. Love
you always. Uncle Johnny, Aunt Jen, Kylor and
Sissy.

Yes! Very Busy! lol
Sorry about not being able to update guys...It's
been crazy! lol...But yes, like my brother,
Johnny said...Logan is doing some AMAZING
THINGS! It's so awesome to see that too. Logan
went to the Neurologist last week and is
supposed to go back in six weeks to schedule
sugery for the shunt. No worries, because we
know you are all praying for him! Thanks
everyone! We love you and our prayers are sent
back!

upcoming surgery
Hi everyone. I'm Renee, Nanna Nay to all of my
grandkids. Logan is the first of 3 born in 2005
and the 9th of 11 grandkids. All are great
beautiful children that I love very much. But I
do have to admit, Logie is our MIRACLE BABY; as
you all know from reading his story.
Logan goes back to Tulsa for surgery to get a
shunt on Thurs. morning, Jan.5,2006. We sure do
appreciate all of your prayers just be sure to
say a special one for him now with the up coming
surgery. I am terrified for him. He is such a
sweetheart. He likes for his nanna to touch and
rub the side of his face and head when I talk to
him, he really acts like he recognizes my voice
and enjoys it. If he's a bit cranky it seems to
calm him some. He is needing all prayers, as his
his parents and the rest of the family but I
pray he is strong enough to make it through this
and any thing else that may come up in his life
I know he has alot of family that will do all
they can to help him, family that love him so
much. Again thank you all, and may God bless and
keep you and yours.

logans shunt
Hello again. This is to inform everyone that
Logan received his shunt Thurs,Jan. 5th. So far
he is doing just great. It seems the tenseness
in his hands and body have released some maybe
the shunt helped, I don't know. All I do know
that he is still our Miracle Baby and a fighter.
God apparently has a reason for Logan and all of
the other children that were born with defects.
Maybe he's trying to help us to grow up and
realize that there is a Greater Being out there
and guardian angels watching over us. God bless
you all and give Gods Little Angels on Earth all
the love and support that you can.

Logan
Oh my goodness- he is the most adorable little
boy ever. What an amazing story. I'm so glad
that everything worked out well with him. He is
just the cutest little boy!! :)
We will pray for you!!!

Happy 1st Birthday!
Just read your story and he truly is a miracle of
god! How great is it that you were able to keep
him here on earth with you to get to know him! I
wanted to wish Logan a Happy 1st Birthday! God
Bless you Logan!

wow
he is so cute. How old is he now?
|
Logan
Logan had his first birthday in Feb. 2006. Most
children born with Hydranencephaly don't survive
to their first birthday, that is just another
reason we still call him our miracle baby. He
sure is a survivor. He's a sweet heart and
starting to develop a bit of an attitude I do
believe. ha, He's doing great and we realize
that he's going to keep doing good because he is
a fighter with his own attitude. Thank you all
for your concerns, comments and prayers. God
bless you all.

WalkAmerica
Hi everyone. This is just an update that Logan
is still doing real good. He will be with us in
the WalkAmerica at Sallisaw, Ok on Sat. May
20th. Last year he received a certificate for
the youngest one participating. We all are
looking forward to the walk and hoping to raise
money for the March of Dimes. If anyone wants to
donate or to help us raise money it will be
appreciated greatly and it will help save babies
like Logan and others. For info. on Logan or
donating for our team: SSP (Spiro's Special
People) please email me at
shsfallenangel@yahoo.com.
Keep Logan in your prayers with all the others
that need them too. We love you for them and for
taking the time and caring enough for Logan and
others like him to read these blogs.

shunt
Hi everyone. This is just to inform you that
Logan received a new shunt last Thurs., May
25,2006. I just learned that the second shunt
isn't working right either and he will have to
get a third one. Not sure when. He is still in
St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa, Ok waiting to find
out what else has to be done to him. The poor
little thing is so precious. We also learned a
couple of days ago that he has the signs of
cerebal palsy and there is a hole in his skull
that the doctors haven't seen before and they
don't seem to know how it got there. No marks on
the head, just the hole in his skull. I am going
to the hospital tomorrow morning to spend a few
days with him and his parents. I will try to
inform you on his progress when I return from
the hospital. Don't forget to add or keep him in
your prayers. Thank you all for your concern for
him.

Logan
Just want to say I had the privilege of meeting
Brooke at EOMC and am inspired by you your
courage and love for Logan and your children.
Never give up,doctors don't know everything! I
should know, I'm a nurse! Kids have an amazing
way of fighting back and they don't know give
up. Dr's don't understand that mommies and
daddies and huge families are more important
than all the medicine in the world. Brooke, you
will always be in my thoughts and Logan will be
in my prayers ever night. You have my number,
call if you need me.(by the way he is beautiful)
